Movies Are Like Dreams

Are your dreams ever boring? Are they full of ecstasy, fear, sorrow or laughter? Dreams linger on in your mind, just like a movie. Movies are fluid. Movies like Dreams continuously fulfill a part of our psyche that excites us. Movies put us in another state of mind and transports us into a dreamlike state. Alfred Hitchcock (one my favorite film directors) once said "Drama is life with the dull parts cut out of it. I believe that this statement is true for dreams. Dreams are so dynamic that they stay with us for awhile, if not a lifetime. Movies are the Myths of our times.  "Myths are public dreams; dreams are private myths. By finding your own dream and following it through, it will lead you to the myth-world in which you live.
